Humming this song, even though I'm not planning to fly to #MO when I visit next month.

#faveNephew called last night while I was looking for children's clothing, so I'm finishing the order today. We talked about my recent trip to #MO and my plans to move there. We discussed certain family members who are wedded to living in this area and how moving will affect them. We discussed his cousin #lazyNephew. Work ethic, cleaning and cooking (or lack thereof ... I sent …

Winter weather advisory across much of #KS and #MO. Snow and "mixed precipitation" in the northern and middle areas, freezing rain in the southern areas.
Expected to start this evening and continue for about 24 hours.
#NOAA / #NWS is sending alerts, but I have not read all of them yet.

Taking that trip to #MO seems to have helped. #GS3 is interacting with me more when we #videochat. Next up is to try to set up multi-way chats, so that the grandkids can know each other better.

It occurs to me that I never did go into the back yard and meet #sonTwo’s chickens or see the #granddoggy’s escape tunnel construction project.
Yep. I have to return to #MO soon.

Uh oh. #NOAA / #NWS is sending Red Flag warnings for much of #KS and #MO, including the Kansas City and Saint Louis areas. Also affecting portions of SW #IL. Strong winds and low relative humidity mean that any fires will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. And also Red Flag warnings for portions of #San_Bernardino and #Riverside Counties in #SoCal. Gusty winds…

Why is it that I can find salt-free potato chips in #MO, but not in #CA? I thought California was supposed to be the land of healthy diets.

Saw a big 48 pack of the brand of TP my mom likes, so I bought it. Also got Duplo blocks as my gift to #GS3 (like giant Lego blocks for younger children). #sonTwo and his wife are excited about my visit to #MO. They've already made plans for me to return in a couple of months. Let #sonOne know I'll be at his brother's place, three hours away. Now we'll have to schedule a day…

No changes from yesterday's post. I don't have the time to follow-up with everyone individually, sadly. Please feel free to translate this as many of the regions left are predominantly not English-speaking. It's that time again. We are looking for regional judges for the Creative Commons Community Music Awards. Please let me know if you would be interested in taking a region. …

Hmm. I've noticed that no one ever seems to have a positive impression of #IA. I've worked for months at a time in some neighboring states ( #NE, #MO, #KS ) and never had a similar impression about them. What's especially bad about Iowa?
(I've also worked in #MS and #LA, so I might just have a rosier view.)

If you're in or near #MO or #KS, there are severe #t-storm warnings streaming from #NOAA / #NWS, including #tornado warnings between Jefferson City and Hermann. Make sure your phone has emergency alerts turned on.

The storm near Joplin is getting bigger and the most active area has partitioned into three areas. First is stronger than the others, and mostly in #KS, with some spillover into #MO and #OK, moving W and especially SW. The other two are smaller and weaker, moving SE.
Watching it because there are three grandkids near this storm.

Currently a severe #t-storm is located over Galena and Joplin #MO, moving SE at 20MPH ... ping pong ball sized hail, 60MPH wind gusts
Areas affected include #I44 between mile markers 0 and 11, #I49 between mile markers 22 and 35, Joplin, Neosho, and a bunch of smaller towns.
