This is in their opinion section, but most of the things in this person’s post and in its comments were covered in the TWiV podcast episode I listened to last night. Cardiovascular damage, possibly due to cytokine storms, affecting younger and healthier people.

My county is having drive up testing for #COVID-19, but they're still only testing people that meet the criteria. We need widespread testing that includes people who have no reason to suspect they have #2019-nCoV.

What's the chance that Kim Jong-un and Daniel Ortega, the two communist dictators who've gone missing recently, are sitting together in a shared underground bunker, waiting for the #COVID-19 pandemic to die down before they are around people again?

The #SARS-CoV-2 #coronavirus that causes #COVID-19 can also infect the immune system's T-cells (similar to what #HIV does).

Possibility that saliva sample tests for #COVID-19 may be accurate enough to be used in place of deep nasal swab tests.

Earlier this month, workers in meat packing plants started to get sick with #COVID-19. According to some reports I've seen, workers are shoulder-to-shoulder on the processing line, so safe separation distances are not possible.

Looking at http://status.hackerposse.com/url/20897 today, it looks like eight states ( #WI, #MN, #IN, #KS, #IA, #DE, #NE, #ND ) are still seeing positive growth in the number of cases of #COVID-19 ... based on the number of people infected by each person who is infected. Most of the rest should be seeing slight declines. I think "open up quickly and get back to work" is a mista…

I'm noticing that the local news media have a lot fewer news items (other than #COVID-19) now that fewer people are out and about to commit or be victimized by crimes. Can we extend the lockdown for another decade or two?

Someone else was wondering when they first became aware of the #COVID-19 outbreak. My memory says December of 2019, but I can't find anything I wrote or posted about it before the 2nd week of January 2020 (when someone tipped me that their sources were saying the outbreak in Wuhan would be a worldwide plague).

The Inquiry, BBC's audio program, has had some really interesting episodes about the #COVID-19 pandemic ... they pose one question to four experts, who answer in about 22-23 minutes.

WHO: No evidence that #COVID-19 infection confers immunity from reinfection. The World Health Organization issued the warning to deter national governments from issuing "immunity passports" that proclaim someone's safety. "At this point in the pandemic, there is not enough evidence about the effectiveness of antibody-mediated immunity to guarantee the accuracy of an 'immunity …

Finished today’s #YoCo ( #yogurt and #coffee ) already. Good morning and #TZAG. Yesterday, I drank double my usual amount of (decaffeinated) coffee and my usual amount of water, as the resurgent cold kept converting fluids into mucus. I felt pretty unproductive as I coughed and sneezed the entire time I was awake from 03:00 to 22:00 ... but I guess I did get some things don…

"Big data" and visualizations make everything look simple, but #COVID-19, like everything else in the real world, is messy. OP argues that the data is noisy, contradictory, and incomplete ... and that it will be years before we can reliably draw any conclusions from it.

F-bomb Freddy has been in fine form today. Effing up a storm since dawn, then took a defiant swim in the #covid19 closed communal pool. Now it looks like he's seen off yet another visiting former cellmate with the traditional "You 'eard me! Fark orf out of 'ere!" farewell. Ah, the #Sawtell lifestyle! #Aloha
