#sonTwo installed a "storm door" on the enclosed porch, so that they can sit outside in the evenings during the warmer part of the year. Today's #videochat with him and #GS3 took place out there. My grandson--like his father--is really texture oriented, so he likes the door mat. But other than that, he's not especially thrilled about a small area with no entertainment. He kept pointing at the door and babbling.

#sonTwo is now working two part-time jobs, found out that unemployment + COVID unemployment would have been more than he's making. Leave it to the government to punish the person who got (lower paying) work instead of sitting at home awaiting a check.

Good morning and #TZAG. I awoke around 02:45 US-Pacific (three hours ago). Since I could not get back to sleep, I got up to start my day. Three hours later, I'm tired.
Today is downweight, but still above a psychologically important barrier.
Still no answer from my 32 year old ( #sonTwo ) or my 30 year old ( #Daddy_A ) about having a multi-way videochat today.

Waiting to hear whether we're going to try another multipoint videochat tomorrow. I invited #sonTwo and #Daddy_A (tomorrow's plan is #Wire and #JitsiMeet ... I still have not set up #Nextcloud Talk, which is also on our list). #sonOne is currently working 6-10s, so I didn't invite him.

#sonTwo was laid off from his $EMPLOYER until the "stay at home" orders are lifted. He spent one day extending his fence (still more to do before it encloses the entire yard), then got a part-time job delivering pizza. He had an interview and he told them "my dad always taught me to work".
I think him seeing me work two jobs and attend school while he grew up is making him into a clone of me.

It feels so cool talking to #sonTwo about things like binary search trees and web site scraping. For the past fifteen years, he's been pretty uninterested in such topics.
