Now that I’ve been listening to all this great music from the #1970s (and a few songs from the #1960s and #1980s), I’m going to have to revise the list I sent to #sonTwo of what to play at my memorial service.
(No, I’m not planning for or expecting a departure any time soon. I’m hoping to stick around at least until #GS3 reaches adulthood.)

#GS3's day: discovered a pantry door that hadn't been closed. Goes in there, peeks out to see if his parents saw him, then "Oh, no! I've been caught!" expression when #sonTwo gets up to retrieve him. Very funny.

Stopped by a place I used to work twenty years ago. There was still one person I recognized there. This was the first time in years that I saw someone I knew there and the first time since I left that no one asked where the mascot ( #sonTwo used to come there after school and do his homework in the employee breakroom ) is now.

I'm reading people's comments on "net neutrality" and thinking "you're missing some facts". 1. During the dial-up days, we inherited the telcom and radio "common carrier" rules, which kept the last-mile provider from interfering with customers' communications. 2. Parents of a sleepy baby ( #sonTwo and his wife ) called late (after 22:00 CST). #GS3 tried to give me his pacifier (stuck it right up to the tablet screen) and hairbrush (same).

84 minutes phone call with #sonOne, #GD2, #GD1, and with my daughter-in-law. Going to try to call #sonTwo and his family and maybe #Daddy_A, too.

Informed that #GD1's surgery is postponed because the co-pay is $7,000. I was surprised, because I thought #sonOne's health insurance was better than #sonTwo's, but when the younger kid's son #GS3 had the same surgery, it only cost $300 out of pocket.

@lain That sounds horrid. I remember when #sonTwo wrote a simple CGI in C++ (a class assignment) and I can't imagine someone intentionally doing a full-scale fediverse server that way.

@musicman I would agree, but #sonTwo cannot eat beans (or most legumes), so we used to have separately prepared regular (meat and beans) and bean-free chili.
But I guess none of this helps you obtain a recipe for #sans-tomato, #vegan #chili or #stew.

Humming the theme song to #Power_Rangers In Space, which is the last version that I watched with #sonTwo and my nephews. Why? I don't know. It started after my son accidentally called ("butt dialed") me today.

Opened my presents tonight during tonight's videochat with #sonTwo and his wife and son, consisting of a photo album filled with photos of #GS3, some refrigerator magnets (also with his picture), and a hoodie.
Realized that my grandson is not the only one celebrating his first Christmas. One of my sisters also has a grandchild celebrating her first Christmas.

@guizzy I'm planning to see it regardless. Normally, we all (me, #sonOne, #sonTwo, #Daddy_A) go to see a Star Wars flick on opening day, at approximately the same time (despite being in different areas), but this year, only the oldest kid has the budget for it. If it is still playing when I go back to work, I'll see it and send money to the younger kids so they can see it also.…

My shipment from #sonTwo and his wife arrived. It contains Fathers' Day, birthday, and Christmas presents, so I haven't opened it, even though 2/3 of the contents are for past events.
Cleverly, the listed sender is #GS3, not either parent.

Back in the #1990s, Disney bought TV-9 in Los Angeles and launched #the_Disney_afternoon ... a set of cartoons such as Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck. I often watched with some of my nephews and #sonTwo. I'm not happy with #Disney these days, as they are too large, too monopolistic, and too copyright maximalist. #USPS was supposed to deliver my presents (from #sonTwo ... Fathers Day, my birthday, Christmas all in one), but tracking says it is delayed between facilities and won't make it here by 20:00 PST. Maybe tomorrow.

I should note that both #sonOne ( age 42 ) and #sonTwo ( age 32 ) obtained jobs with vacation time within the last 2-3 years, but before that, neither of them had ever had it either. ( #Daddy_A still has not had a job with vacation, but he was stuck in retail until a back injury took him out of the workforce for five years. )
