The hydrocortisone cream seems to have helped. Skin is a lot less itchy than it was earlier.
I don't think the cream is the reason I am sleepy and have a mild headache. Skipped this week's #videochat with #sonOne, #GD1, #GD2. Probably #naptime.

Last year, I sent #GD1 a scientific calculator. In pink! #GD2 wanted a pink calculator of her own, so I told her I would look for one. Yesterday (Friday, 2020-06-12), hers arrived. Hers is a simple four function calc (with the M+, M-, MR, MC buttons that she’ll probably never use).

#sonOne told his daughters ( #GD1, age 12; #GD2, age 8 ) about the two cops that used to stop me every morning on my way to school (at gunpoint, naturally) to harass me. Including a daily Interpol check, to make sure I wasn't an international terrorist. Something about a Black kid with an armful of books, I guess.
He's trying to give them more personal connections to the events of the day.

Earlier I used the word "cumpipe", which is not part of my usual safe for work / family friendly vocabulary. I think the situation justifies it.
My overall goal is not to have to make any uncomfortable explanations should #GD2 or #Little_Boy_A start reading my posts.

Speaking of gardens, #sonOne bought strawberry plants. Strawberries ???? are #GD2’s favorite food. #sonTwo planted some veggies, but I’m not sure exactly what he planted. I have something like thirty packets of seed to plant ... and I’m way behind schedule, because it is already too warm for certain plants. #GS3 got his hands on a ball-point pen, so he's got a home-made tattoo on his leg. He had to lift his leg and show his grandpa his work. He also drew on a piece of cardboard, which he also showed me. He really enjoys scribbling. We'll see if this leads to a long-term affection for writing / drawing / painting. #sonTwo is getting fewer hours at $TEMP_JOB, so he's looking forward…

My 12 year old ( #GD1 ) and 8 year old ( #GD2 ) granddaughters were animated and playful today. I suppose it means they went to bed on time last night. They usually stay up late on Saturday and then are sluggish all day Sunday, which is when I have my weekly #videochat with them and their dad #sonOne.

I dearly love the videos, pictures, and videochats with #GS3, but I still feel like they're giving him too much screen time. None of us knew better when #GD1, #GD2, and #Little_Boy_A were little, so they spent hours each day in front of glowing rectangles. I wish this last grandchild to grow up acquainted with, but not engrossed in whatever's on the screen.

Two hour videochat today with #sonOne and #GD2. #GD1 is sick. The younger one is bored, of course, because she's at home all the time. She's not getting to talk with her best friend much, because the parents have to call and then put the kids on the phone.
