One of our clients would like to place an article on your site. Umm, do people really read and respond to this type of spam? Because I cannot imagine ever allowing "market-magnet" or its clients to post their spammy articles on any Federati site or instance. I cannot imagine that I or anyone else would seriously consider it. I mean, come on. If you're doing this, you should alrea… -

I think @bthall might find it a little humorous that the US Census Bureau puts tracking links in their "look what we're doing" e-mails. Because of course the data geeks would do this. -

I assume "flattened" tags are lower-case behind the scenes, despite being displayed as upper-case. However, GS tags are and always have been thus.
So I don't know what else the dev could mean. -

@mangeurdenuage I don't think #Pleroma auto-hides post with #nsfw tags. It looks like a user "Filtering" setting in PleromaFE that must be re-entered each time one logs in. -

That wasn’t stated clearly. Regardless of the truth of the latest allegation (the basis of the NY Post article), the former VP would have been fired and prosecuted if he was a regular employee because his son’s job (with no related background) in an organization that would be expected to interact with the father’s agency suggests conflicts of interest. Regardless of the a… -

Uh oh. #NOAA / #NWS is sending Red Flag warnings for much of #KS and #MO, including the Kansas City and Saint Louis areas. Also affecting portions of SW #IL. Strong winds and low relative humidity mean that any fires will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. And also Red Flag warnings for portions of #San_Bernardino and #Riverside Counties in #SoCal. Gusty winds… -

All I can say is that if Biden had been a regular employee and not VP, this would likely have gotten him fired and possibly prosecuted, regardless of intent. Using your government position for personal benefit--or giving the appearance thereof--is illegal.
Likewise for Trump, staying at his hotels on taxpayers' dime. Only his position keeps him from prosecution. -

Why don’t people give truthful answers to surveys? (1) Too intrusive—surveys tend to ask for too much personal information (2) Too mysterious—the organizations administering surveys and the organizations for whom they are collecting information often obscure themselves (3) Too untrustworthy—surveys’ information, once collected, may be used and re-used, chopped and pr… -

"I Am The Walrus" has always been one of the Beatles' songs that I disliked. In fact, about 20 years ago, a co-worker wanted to give #sonTwo a cassette tape of Beatles songs. I said that as long as that song was not on the tape, it was okay.
(I didn't want to have him singing the song around the house.) -

I’m going to shoot for deleting about 100 of those without reading. -

@musicman Isn’t $JAVA_HOME usually the base of the JRE installation directory? I think I have seen it pointing to the ‘bin’ subdirectory a few times also.
