#sonOne said something about #GS1 (and #GS2, apparently) getting their own place soon. With no need for a "boys' room" anymore, #GD1 will move in there and have her own bedroom.

Skipping #coffee tomorrow. Probably going to have to catch the bus to head over and meet #sonOne and #GD1 for lunch. He’s going to see his grandmother one last time.
On today’s walk, it was suddenly time to give back water. I thought I would not make it the last five or ten minutes until I got home.

That was a short call, but I'm mostly just trying to stay in the habit of talking with 8 year old #GD2 one or two times per week. I still talk to her and 12 year old #GD1 during my weekly call with their dad.

My friend and co-worker asked me whether #GS3 is my favorite grandchild yet. I think I have to admit that he is one of my eight favorite grandchildren. Starting my walk back home. Planning to call 8 year old #GD2 to ask her about the weather and what she'll be doing while her 12 year old sister #GD1 is on the Disneyland trip.

84 minutes phone call with #sonOne, #GD2, #GD1, and with my daughter-in-law. Going to try to call #sonTwo and his family and maybe #Daddy_A, too.

Informed that #GD1's surgery is postponed because the co-pay is $7,000. I was surprised, because I thought #sonOne's health insurance was better than #sonTwo's, but when the younger kid's son #GS3 had the same surgery, it only cost $300 out of pocket.

#GD1 and #GD2 return to school tomorrow. #Little_Boy_A returns Tuesday.

#GD1 and #GD2 earch received a $100 VISA gift card instead of presents, so they are probably at the mall today or tomorrow. They both seem sort of tightfisted with their money, so it may be that they decide to leave most of that money unspent for a while.
The older two ( #GS1 and #GS2 ) have part-time jobs at a nearby fast food place, so they've already got themselves the #Steam games they might want.

Took some stuff to the house of one of my sisters, so it will already be there on Thanksgiving. I brought my tablet and hotspot, and sure enough, we were not back home when it was time for my good night videochat with #GS3. Then, when I got here, #GD2 called so that she and #GD1 (and her friend whose name I always misspell) could say hi.

Well, announced to #sonOne and #Daddy_A that there's no money available for their kids' Christmas gifts this year. #sonTwo already specifically requested no gifts this year.

Trying to get through to #GD1 and #GD2 for a videochat on #Wire. The younger of the two has an hour until bedtime, so if they don’t pick up soon, we’ll have to do it another day.

I just had about 2 1/2 hours of (separate) videochats with #sonOne and #sonTwo (and #GD1 and #GD2). The little girls are a lot more animated and engaged on video than they are on regular phone calls.
I already videochat regularly with my 31 year old son (and his family) and my 8 year old granddaughter, so it was great to have her sister and her dad join in.

#sonOne told me that he went to a parent conference for #GD1, where he learned that she's on track to earn to two "F" grades, one "D-" grade, and one "D" grade. She was playing games instead of doing homework. Naturally, they've taken her electronics and now she has to do her homework in the kitchen instead of her room.
