Seems like there is something screwy with #galera and #mariadb on #centos 7. It works great on #ubuntu.

Wikipedia says #CentOS 7 full support end 2020-08-06, but https://wiki.centos.org/About/Product says Q4 2020. The Wikipedia date seems oddly specific to be incorrect.

Prepping a flash drive and a DVD of #CentOS 8.2 to send to #sonTwo. I should probably also send #Debian or #Devuan or #Ubuntu, but if he gets the first server running, that's fine for now.

@musicman That #CentOS version uses yum, but you'll also want to learn dnf, so you're ready when folks upgrade.
