layoffs started this morning. only 30, it seems, but there was at least one typo (or omission) from the email, so hard to really know. I only know of one. Think back about 150 years: these states went to war to fight for the right to make people work without pay. Don't be surprised that they don't care about the people that live there. It's a "family tradition" for them. -

With so many people in HQ working from home, the agency's HR chief has started sending out e-mails about taking care of one's internal being in the new environment. It has a lot of "feel good about yourself" babble, but I have to admit, that's what people need right now. -

The work cellphone's battery is useless now. I took it off the charger for about ten minutes and the phone was dead. Do I have the motivation to do some basic troubleshooting before I contact the central helpdesk to start the replacement process? They'll likely have me do it all again anyway. -
