I'm seeing those "bad SHA-1 HMAC" errors at around 1100-1700 notices in each of my !gnusocial rotated logs (default logrotate settings). A bit disconcerting.
-
@moonman @nerthos Huh. It happens to groups, too. I see some from !gnusocial.

Ok probably a stupid q. - I am looking for help getting started in dev work, I am very much an amateur, I get the basics in algo design etc but I am looking for a project to contribute to and some sort of, mentor I suppose. I am hoping to contribute to a C or C++ project. I am also interested in learning android but have quite a bit of a ways to go there. I guess I nee…

@strypey There isn't really a clear distinction between a server and desktop. I could install a web server and !gnusocial on mylaptop and run it that way.
-
@takeshitakenji Also, there is a constant dribble of clicks on the !gnusocial-article on my blog. Only the big waves need a big trigger.
-
@astralboy I thought you said "don't call posts quests."
I'd play !gnusocial Quest.
-
@strypey This is the problem which #Hubzilla solved, or semi-solved, with "nomadic identity". So far as I know !gnusocial doesn't have this feature yet.
-
@lxoliva !gnusocial There have been suggestions for people like me:

infinite likes bug on qvitter? !gnusocial !fediverse @hannes2peer https://goblinrefuge.com/mediagoblin/u/forkbomb/m/infinite-likes-bug/
-
hey @relapsus welcome to the !gnusocial !fediverse
-
@chimo yeah, deletion in !GNUsocial (as on the internet in general, except apparently Hubzilla which magically solves this with magic unicorns) is only to spare others annoying duplicates/corrections, not actually removing data.

Beyond Software Sharing http://computationalist.uk.to/2016/05/beyond-software-sharing !sharingsplugin !gnusocial
-
Is there any client for !gnusocial which makes it possible to schedule Queets, dents, notices?
Preferably for desktop?
-
Sharings plugin !sharingsplugin installed with !gnusocial by default on #Freedombone
«If you have the GNU Social microblogging system installed then it's also possible to share things or services between groups or with particular users. This can be useful for sharing items within a family, club or in a local sharing economy» read more in http://freedombone.uk.to/usage.html#org4e4c599
Thanks to @bob

That's ok, that's why we have !gnusocial in the first place.
-
@mcscx2 @hikerus Yeah, if an exception is thrown then it's PHP (i.e. !GNUsocial) The /statistics.json and /friendica.json stuff are probably remote sites assuming (or wanting to check) whether certain pages exist. I guess friendi[ck]a.json is something available on #Friendica nodes and /statistics.json I don't know. But there's nothing you can do about it in !GNUsocial…
-
@hiker According to $searchengine that message is created by !gnusocial (not apache). https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social/commit/df00a88cb41a3ffd42cd8fce76997a5af4aa4362
Perhaps the author @mmn knows more about that

@manuel @takeshitakenji Both Qvitter and the #Sharings plugin are installed with !gnusocial by default on #Freedombone. I expect to be soon including the Sharings theme.
-
@manuel @takeshitakenji See http://freedombone.uk.to/installation.html for building images. Freedombone has a number of variants, and if you specify the social variant (build option -v social) you'll get !gnusocial and #hubzilla.
