   @verius Laws, rules, or regulations don't prevent issues, they provide the means by which issues are remedied when they occur.  I feel this is the fundamental misunderstanding most people have about that kind of thing.  What prevents or mitigates issues are how the community reacts to various things and that's a difficult thing to force.

   @verius @camoceltic Both super high and super low contrast are hard on people with vision problems.  Avoid thin fonts.  Try to avoid using specific colours as indicators because they can be confused with those with colourblindeness.     @bob While I'd agree that's getting a bit "meta" from my point of "ignoring the world doesn't make it go away".  As people we seem to procrastinate away at our problems rather than making active attempts to fix them.  I wonder if there's an aspect of learned helplessness to it, given the state of various sociopolitical systems worldwide right now.  This seems likely.

    @sim @nerthos They're much easier to tailor, if you're having someone actually make you one.  So there's that.  But in a day where machines or small children in Chinese sweatshops are making things, rather than professionals, that's less of a thing.
