maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Friday, 30-Dec-2016 05:00:16 EST maiyannah @stigatle Because I had a high paying job at one point my credit cards had what became ridiculously high credit limits and as a result ridiculously high minimum payments, and when the credit card company started demanding more than the minimum payments I pushed myself to just pay them off entirely and tell the credit card company to get stuffed. -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Friday, 30-Dec-2016 04:59:05 EST maiyannah @stigatle I remember that feeling with paying off my credit cards and cutting them up, feels good man. -

maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Friday, 30-Dec-2016 04:47:23 EST maiyannah @verius It definitely comes from a place of insecurity. I'm willing to let a lot of "transgressions" go, even sometimes large ones, because I realize that random people on the internet that disagree with me or antagonize me ultimately have exactly as much power as I give to them, and if I ignore them, that power is greatly diminished (though it doesn't go away - no… -
maiyannah (maiyannah)'s status on Friday, 30-Dec-2016 04:44:28 EST maiyannah @bob When I have a complex problem, I try to break it down into smaller, more manageable components, and choose one or two components to work on that feel like I personally can improve, change, or otherwise make a difference in. To relate this to the topic on hand, I might not be able to directly influence Parliament either here in Canada or back home, but I can be… -
