It's finally happened. For over a decade, seeing a #Windows update (either OS or application) has triggered an "oh, no, what's it going to break?" response. Now, #Android and #iOS do the same thing.

Fun fact: I once ran JavaEmailServer on #Windows for my then employer's e-mail server. We were out of licenses, so Exchange wasn't happening (and when you get the "I want to cut over on Friday", you don't have time to figure out sendmail).

@musicman if they’re using #Java, they’re probably going for cross-platform. It is less true than before, but even now, #Windows administrators prefer GUI tools, even when CLI / TUI tools are more functional and faster.

@daw It has been years since I ran #MySQL on #Windows ( #WinXP ). Not sure anything is still relevant to current versions of MySQL or Windows.
