Is there a way to reset HTTP2 Streams in #ApacheTomcat without reloading all of #Tomcat? I'm dealing with a single stuck stream.

Are the changes listed as 9.0.42 in 9.0.43? That's my assumption, but it isn't clear. #ApacheTomcat #tomcat

Is there any reason to think embedded #Tomcat would handle #HTTP2 any differently than regular Tomcat. I don't think there is, but I also don't know anything about the application, which makes me suspicious.

@musicman They say there’s a .war file at #SourceForge, if you don’t want to have to build #OpenKM yourself. You should be able to drop the file in your #Tomcat server’s webapp directory.

proof is in the pudding, as they say, but sounds like I have learned a variety of things this morning: 1. "Since Alfresco Installer was discontinued from Alfresco 5.2, this project provides a command line installer for Alfresco Community 6.1 and Alfresco Community 6.2 to be used in Docker Compose installations." -- not sure the background on this decision, but paired with the o…

Apparently #Tomcat can give a 404 if you have the wrong version of #Java
...because that makes sense.

Back in the olden days of 2006 / 2007, it was easy. Install #Tomcat. Stop Tomcat (so it isn't running). Grab the #Alfresco .WAR file and drop it into the proper directory within Tomcat. Start Tomcat. Once it has extracted the WAR file, stop Tomcat again and edit some configs (for example, enter database info, enable or disable various services and functionality). Start it again…

the #tomcat web manager doesn't look nearly as slick as #wildfly, but I am glad I got it working finally...and it looks like it picked up my app, so yay for that. The instructions from #Alfresco leave something to be desired.

In #Tomcat, do you need to restart to configure log rotation using something like logging.properties? I am not sure why logrotate isn't acceptable, but apparently it is not. Different teams, perhaps.

@musicman I don't think there was a #TomEE in 2004. I hadn't even heard of #Glassfish yet. I used regular #Tomcat (with #Apache and #IIS) at school, and even looked into a #Java based web host ... but the work schedule and commuting (and then traveling and #hotel_INET) just made it not doable.
-
@musicman I stopped messing with J2EE (now Java Enterprise) when I started working 60+ hours / week for $EMPLOYER, so I've never known what the difference is between #Tomcat and #Glassfish.

https://wildfly.org/news/tags/hal/ for more about #Wildfly HAL
Wildfly is a #Java application server and container, similar to #Jetty and #Tomcat
-
To flesh that out a bit, but my current list is this:
#mongodb
#mysql
#httpd
#postgres
#kafka
#cassandra
#tomcat
#jboss / #wildfly
#eclipse
#java (enough to diagnose applications...honestly, with the others on the list that are built in java, I probably don't really need to do anything else with this one)

It's pretty demoralizing to never get any responses from anyone but @lnxw48a1, but I am nothing if not persistent. I realize I could interact more and gain more followers and I could post more. Maybe I'll give Mastodon a shot a see if I get more interaction there. I don't think I've joined an instance but maybe I have. Anyway... My team is looking! Requirements (I mean, that's …
