@cathal StoreRemoteMedia is a plugin that downloads remote images to the server and delivers them locally. It's recommended by the !qvitter readme .)

@drymer I just pushed a fix to !GNUsocial so POSTs against the API require an HTTP_REFERER value with the same domain as the site is served on (unless using OAuth) so forms on third party websites can't POST to an authenticated session. @0@quitter.is pointed out that this could be done (since !Qvitter changes require API access without OAuth using an ordinary session)…

@cassolotl What does this mean? Isn't IFTTT some proprietary disservice that controls its own platform and you'd have to ask IFTTT to do this? !qvitter sites have RSS/Atom feeds which can be imported as-is to IFTTT.
Or am I misunderstanding your question?

@maiyannah @hannes2peer I've actually made a script for this, but it will also remove !qvitter background images and such (because it removes any 'file' table entries without a related, verified, 'file_to_post' entry). @kevinmarks I've got an ugly hack that loads the classic view, checks if there's javascript and then loads !qvitter unless there's a cookie disabling it. So that's why my site delivers more metadata than for your identity ;)
So I should add the rel="me" and h-card stuff to profile URLs on !qvitter, check!

sometimes bangtags to offsite groups such as !fediverse or !sn are showing up as hyperlinks automatically and other times not #newinterface ... also i wish that following said links would keep me onsite and gather #network mentions by query, which may be something i can set in preferences but is probably something to do with the !gnusocial source #qvitter .. said @nydel to zeself in a publicly-viewable test queet.

@fouine I'm pretty sure you only see this discrepancy if you have "hidden replies" (to users you don't subscribe to). If you have the normal #qvitter timeline it's probably identical since I believe they use the same "noticestream" object then.

@discussthang Look at what API calls !qvitter makes, I'm pretty sure they get more data. Even with Twitter you have to explicitly require more data for ut to be sent.
But really, the Atom call gives you _everything_. Learn to love XML.

!gnusocial question: how can i abo users in the #qvitter view? Its not that cool to switch to the classical view for it every time...

@mmn !gnusocial question: When I reply to a notice in classic view - the address isn't copied in the reply-message. But when I reply in !qvitter the address is at the beginning of the replay-message.
When a user is replying in classic view mode these replies are not correctly displayed in !qvitter - you don't see to whom the reply is sent.
