@amiloradovsky Regarding #Mastodon's "visibility". I plan to implement this in a unified way using #ActivityVocabulary, so the feature could be reused for different social networks. Using the vocabulary, "visibility" means, which groups of users will be able to see the note/activity: Public (all, even unauthenticated), "Users of this instance" etc. or no groups at… -

@LeeteqXV No, "CW" as other implementations of a note's "name" (title) is not supported yet, I'm just adding it to #AndStatus data model. I also plan to add an option to collapse note's content, if the note's name is present (as #Mastodon users are accustomed to this...)

@thatbrickster Whoa, I thought that my local database of 250 Mb is the largest used with #AndStatus. It looks like you configured AndStatus not to purge old notes in Settings -> Storage?! Please do this if you see that the database is too large. Your own notes, reposts and likes by you shouldn't be purged in any case... but I would create a backup first... Regarding treating … -

@nestort Yes, in some cases AndStatus doesn't retrieve conversation from a server, but shows only previously loaded messages of the conversation. Now you need to press "Sync" button in the Action bar to get the latest messages of the conversation from the server. I see that I need to do this syncing automatically in any case, on every conversation opening?! BTW I automatically… -

I think I finally solved the problem with my !gnusocial instance being unable to federate with some/most #Mastodon instances. Apparently most Mastodon instances are using a broken HTTP.rb that doesn't support HTTP/2. Disabled HTTP/2 on my instance, now it *seems* to work. -

This is wrong. #OStatus is a server-to-server protocol, #AndStatus connects to servers using server-to-client protocols. This is why AndStatus doesn't know and doesn't depend on OStatus protocol.
Moreover, #Mastodon 's client-to-server protocol is still based on outdated Twitter like API, not on #ActivityPub, unfortunately.

It is also thanks to Evan that !ostatus hade a platform in #identica to strive on, which turned into StatusNet which is today !GNUsocial and was the network which #Mastodon could bootstrap off and to this day federates with. -
