Successfully uninstalled and reinstalled the !gnusocial app on #Freedombone. This makes the system more like FreedomBox in which apps can be added or removed after installation.
-
@bob Tomorrow (or rather, later today) I'll see if I can install #Freedombone on my #BBB! I'm super excited!
-
@maiyannah I've added it to the #Freedombone configuration for !gnusocial
-
Added a note about using !gnusocial with #Emacs http://freedombone.uk.to/usage.html#org69eb610 #Freedombone

Sharings plugin !sharingsplugin installed with !gnusocial by default on #Freedombone
«If you have the GNU Social microblogging system installed then it's also possible to share things or services between groups or with particular users. This can be useful for sharing items within a family, club or in a local sharing economy» read more in http://freedombone.uk.to/usage.html#org4e4c599
Thanks to @bob

@manuel @takeshitakenji Both Qvitter and the #Sharings plugin are installed with !gnusocial by default on #Freedombone. I expect to be soon including the Sharings theme.
-
@manuel @takeshitakenji another way to deploy !gnusocial is using #Freedombone on low cost single board computers, like the Beaglebone Black.

Made !gnusocial and #Hubzilla T-shirts, so during the summer I can shamelessly advertise some of the projects on #Freedombone. The Hubzilla one is all blue with the white logo and name. Gnusocial is black with the big red logo.
-
Made a script to check that the !gnusocial daemons keep running, and sends an email to the admin if there is a problem. #Freedombone

@bob Thanks. I've a #cubietruck waiting for me at home. I was unaware of the Allwinner kernels' back door, but was already olanning to try out #FreedomBone on it. !raspi

@mmn Of all the systems on #Freedombone, !gnusocial was one of the easier to install. Anything which is based on python or ruby is typically a dependency nightmare.
-
So I've made a quick hack to post from tt-rss to !gnusocial on #Freedombone. It only works from the desktop interface, not from the mobile one currently.
-
Added !gnusocial user creation and removal to #Freedombone. This makes it easy to add or remove users via the control panel, without having to manually register them on each service running on the box.
-
@roland @bob for #Freedombone it would be nice if there was a command line way to add and remove !gnusocial users
