   Successfully uninstalled and reinstalled the !gnusocial app on #Freedombone. This makes the system more like FreedomBox in which apps can be added or removed after installation.

    @cmhobbs !gnusocial in Emacs is ok. XMPP needs work. The best I found was some jabber-mode thing with OTR.

    Microsoft Windows exceeded my BS threshold long ago. That's why I don't use it, except perhaps on rare occasions at work. I also no longer support Windows users. I just say something like "I can install a version of Linux, but if you want to carry on with Windows then you're on your own"

    @arunisaac One way to do it which doesn't involve re-inventing the wheel would be to have a contact details section where you can add XMPP/Tox/GPG/Other details for private chat. It would be good to include that by default within !gnusocial user profiles.
