Bob Mottram (bob)'s status on Tuesday, 18-Oct-2016 07:17:15 EDT Bob Mottram It's a bit like when folks turn up on !gnusocial and declare "this can't work because where's the business model?"

Freedom of expression needs to be baked into our code. Privacy should be baked into our code. Universal access to all knowledge" -
Bob Mottram (bob)'s status on Saturday, 01-Oct-2016 08:26:38 EDT Bob Mottram Successfully uninstalled and reinstalled the !gnusocial app on #Freedombone. This makes the system more like FreedomBox in which apps can be added or removed after installation. -
Bob Mottram (bob)'s status on Friday, 12-Aug-2016 09:48:06 EDT Bob Mottram Someone should make a comedy sketch entitled "the mad economists tea party". Some would argue that the economy is going up. Some would argue that the economy is going down. And there would be a dormouse in a teapot who says "I think it will stay the same" -
Bob Mottram (bob)'s status on Wednesday, 06-Jul-2016 11:42:04 EDT Bob Mottram @cmhobbs Given a large enough character limit !gnusocial could act like a full blog, although it might not be easy to hyperlink to. -

Bob Mottram (bob)'s status on Friday, 01-Jul-2016 02:55:23 EDT Bob Mottram Microsoft Windows exceeded my BS threshold long ago. That's why I don't use it, except perhaps on rare occasions at work. I also no longer support Windows users. I just say something like "I can install a version of Linux, but if you want to carry on with Windows then you're on your own" -

Bob Mottram (bob)'s status on Thursday, 23-Jun-2016 10:47:10 EDT Bob Mottram @arunisaac One way to do it which doesn't involve re-inventing the wheel would be to have a contact details section where you can add XMPP/Tox/GPG/Other details for private chat. It would be good to include that by default within !gnusocial user profiles. -
