I'm noticing that there seem to be quite a lot of !gnusocial installs out there. This is the advantage of (i) being easy to install and (ii) federation.

  @bob I'm glad people think !GNUsocial is easy to install. StatusNet was a pain in the ass with a bunch of bugs and caveats.

  @mmn Of all the systems on #Freedombone, !gnusocial was one of the easier to install. Anything which is based on python or ruby is typically a dependency nightmare.
