I think it's time I finally got a multimeter.
-
@gomerx, I guess it was something of an opaque pun. It sounded like you had a system `taking on water' and constantly needing to be bailed out due to architectural goofs. Like building a basement below sea level.
-
@gomerx, does it work well, or does it work ARTESIAN well?
-
Just watched "The Giver" w/ @palmella. Reminds me a lot of "The NeverEnding Story".
-
Nice that https://spamassassin.apache.org/tests.html explains "This page is no longer updated as the tests are now published nightly." But *where* are they published?
-
This #USB PortPilot thing seems like a pretty good idea, even just considering the !security angle: hakshop.com/portpilot #want
-
@gomerx, have you tried #deepfried #avocado? Mix salt+pepper+lemon into the breading, #nom #guacfingers
-
I think I would try anything that has Guacamole on it. ++ for Bacon.
-
What's the most straightforward way of implementing #SRS with #Postfix on #Debian? #email
-
Looks like it was all of the contacts saved before some threshold date.... Newer ones didn't/don't get lost.
-
@andstatus, I was able to reproduce the lossage consistently... until I did a contacts import from CSV.
-
@andstatus I wonder if it had something to do with Exchange Services crashing because I had the built in Email program disabled, actually.
-
@mattl, exactly the opposite of that.
-
I worry that small version numbers are too developer focused. It's very easy to refer to integers, vs 1.2.3
-
Why does installing AndStatus delete my phone contacts?
-
Slinkies are recyclable, right? They go in the "metal" bucket? https://status.hackerposse.com/attachment/6617

@bobjonkman, #federation and #syndication are different (probably orthogonal) things. Federation is what we have right now.
-
I think federated group takeovers are unlikely to happen. It could happen in today's non-federated groups too, but all #Fedizens seem to be a polite bunch. And if a takeover of a federated group gets to be too much for an admin, she can always remove her server from that group, and start another group.
-
@erkan That's an interesting solution. So groups would be federated within the network. Everyone who hosts a group with the same name adds to its resilience
-
@mmn, @marcus: I advise talking to your friendly local admin and having them add some locally-relevant aliases for the groups you use. This should be especially easy when it means talking to yourself ☺
