On that note, !gnusocial should not distribute a #GoogleAnalytics plugin, or even recommend an external one. It already distributes a #Piwik plugin, and that should be enough; GA is proprietary spyware.
I wrote about GA with regards to #GitLab (and their move to #Piwik) here, which states some of the problems:

Our glorious narrative about self-hosting and resilience, especially here on !gnusocial, must be amended. Ironically, !selfhost has been down for months and nobody put it up again. A new !tzag was created but that requires followers to resubscribe. I like following groups, but the way they are implemented seems rigid and reintroduces centralization.

Well, I'm still #newhere, but I wonder why I can't find my 'older' notices anymore (for example one from 18 days ago). Not in 'profile (Notices by wyege)', not in any of those RSS and whatever feeds, not in the backup. I only know it is there because it was 'favored by others'. This makes !gnusocial miss one of my use cases.

@lissovboris but perhaps you rather want to try a !gnusocial client for both reading & posting, like #yaics, #choqok.

@lissovboris ther are several post-only clients for !gnusocial. You can even use a single #curl command to commit a post.

Just made a few tweaks to !gnusocial → this should free a lot of IO on the server HDD and speedup everything :)
