@andstatus Recent versions of !GNUsocial will always prefer the full webfinger ID before the local part. It will then transform the full webfinger ID to only the local part, but put the profile's URI in href="".

Does !gnusocial allow multiple accounts on a single instance to be associated with a single e-mail address?

!gnusocial Also now when I look at my threads on other servers it's missing some of the people. I haven't seen this happen before, at least not consistently.
Example:
https://shitposter.club/notice/59192
https://freezepeach.xyz/notice/58533

!gnusocial I just upgraded from 1.2beta3 to 1.2beta4 and now I'm seeing:
LOG_ERR: [shitposter.club:4394.d8ccd13b GET /notice/thread.as?page=1] PEAR error: Page not found.
How concerned about this should I be?

!gnusocial This request is bugged. The fully qualified domain in the post is dot im yet the dot se domain is used for delivery.
-
@gomerx It's enough - it's written in TOU - so when you registered your account you agree with this 2 sentences - or the TOU of the server where you have your account: On this instance, users who harass others will be removed. We also take a strong stance against e.g. racism, sexism, ableism, homo- and transphobia. But I will leave this topic - everything is said. When y…

#jungundnaiv #tagesschau 2x neolib #propaganda ge- #blockt .... wer glaubt eigentl das menschen sich bei !gnusocial anmelden um die tagessau auch noch durchs (noch) freie netzwerk zu jagen?! :-)
-
@hfaust ya, !gnusocial seems still unfamiliar to many people :(
-
@fouine In the recent nightly !GNUsocial there were some commits that didn't include 'share' verbs into the timelines. They should be included in the most recent commit. So yeah, a bug but it's been fixed. :)

@bob yes, I like the simplicity of !gnusocial. From a technical standpoint I prefer #hubzilla, but the simplicity of GNU Social caters for a broader user base and makes the community more fun.
-
@futt !gnusocial http://www.skilledtests.com/wiki/List_of_federated_Statusnet_groups though sadly quite a few seem to be down (looking at you, fediverse.com)
-
On a quest to discover what interesting groups !gnusocial and the !fediverse at large has to offer! There should be a list or something. Somwehere.

@navigium @jackmcbastard Hubzilla can do things like that, since it has a more elaborate privacy model than just follow or block. I see !gnusocial as being a simpler system.
-
@jackmcbastard Isn't what you asking for already what !gnusocial is? I'm a bit new too... But that's what I have understood. Nodes only see other nodes they are already following, yes, one network but not necessarily all unified like you say, because it's a decentralized/distributed network. And I'm sure (I'm speculating) there is a way to make your node only visible to those you want to see you.
-
@laemeur Nevermind. I found out what "Profile Account" means when I joined !gnusocial. Must just the be design of the !minecraft page.
-
Maybe someone can explain this to me. How hard would it be to make !gnusocial into separate networks where certain instances could federate among other invited instances? Something similar to the way IRC works. Is this undesirable for some reason? I just don't understand why people want only one unified network. I'm new to the community, maybe I'm missing something.
