It shocks me that there are still places in Windows 10 where it cannot handle a file path containing more than 255 characters. I mean ... seriously.

I have a !RasPi Zero that I bought together with a board that's supposed to give serial-over-USB access (and I think also give the #RasPi NAT'd network access through your laptop). That board broke during travel, so I may repurpose the SBC once I find it again.

Very excited for the imminent arrival at # SNOLAB of the first undergraduate research summer student with whom I will work directly! Thrilled to get her started at the lab, meet lots of people, and begin thinking about predicting hardware failure before it happens.

Among the many cool things about moving these towers to SNOLAB to put them underground for installation in SuperCDMS: the collaboration carefully planned the journey to minimize exposure to high levels of cosmic ray radiation. These are sensitive, cutting-edge instruments. https://t.co/E8jzjIlAwH

From mcnees@mastodon.social on Mastodon: Though Nightingale died in 1910, there is a wax cylinder recording of her voice made in 1890 by US Civil War veteran George Edward Gouraud. Colonel Gouraud was the British representative of the Edison Phonograph Company. You can listen to it here: https://www. youtube.com/watch?v=8PZaHp7mkq A
