@guizzy Same for me.

@sean said “Life would be better if every weekend was a three-day weekend.” My response: Possibly. Or it could be that what is special about a three-day weekend is its relative scarcity, and making every weekend that way might destroy the increased value. I think that every “weekend” needs 1. Some time where you rest and relax, above and beyond your regular nightly …

When I was a kid, we used to save up all year for a trip to Disneyland on Independence Day (July 4th). Year after year, it was their busiest and most crowded day, but it was a big deal. It was a very special family event, and we looked forward to it each year. It was greatly missed as family finances deteriorated as we got older. This wasn’t always a weekend, let alone a th…

The description is pretty lacking. Router NAT firewalls are designed to block outside traffic from sites you did not visit and pass traffic from sites you have. I surmise this "slipstream" technique prolongs and expands this opening.

@lnxw48a1 OUCH! Not a good thing. The proper write up. Samy Kamkar NAT Slipstreaminghttps://samy.pl/slipstream/ >Summary > >NAT Slipstreaming exploits the user's browser in conjunction with the Application Level Gateway (ALG) connection tracking mechanism built into NATs, routers, and firewalls by chaining internal IP extraction via timing attack or WebRTC, automated remote MTU…

New videos from one of my daughters-in-law: She’s using the blocks I bought to teach #GS3 to say the names of colors. So far, he says “purple” and “yellow”. I do not know whether he realizes that “purple” goes with the purple-colored blocks and “yellow” goes with the yellow-colored blocks, but that’s a start. He still calls both parents (and grandpa!) “Da…

Now that the US switched to standard time, West Coast states and Arizona have different timezones again. When we're on PDT and they're on MST, our times are the same.

Good morning. I added some more decaf, so I'm drinking about 1/4 regular and 3/4 decaf as part of today's #YoCo ( #yogurt and #coffee ). Going to take an ibuprofen, because I think it's lack of sleep that is causing this headache and I don't think I'll get a chance to sleep until tonight.

Awoke with a headache. I need to see which devices' clocks did not automatically 'fall back'. Can we convince Congress to stop messing with time?

I keep looking at https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/odroid-hc4-oled/ even though as far as I know, it is not available for sale yet.
I looked at both the #Odroid HC1 and HC2 and thought that it would be more interesting if it could take more drives. The HC4 is more interesting.

"Religious zealotry for permissive licenses is stupid."
It is usually just a way to get outside code that can be wrapped in a proprietary EULA. That's why they get zealous. How dare you use a license that prevents me from wrapping your code in my proprietary licensed software!

Boiled a package of chicken drumsticks and threw in some rice. I wasn't intending to cook dinner, so someone else can do some vegetables to go with it.
I got a "Sell by Nov 1" package for $2, so I needed to cook it now.

In the United States, we do not allow apps for personal loans where the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is 36% or higher. Apps for personal loans in the United States must display their maximum APR, calculated consistently with the Truth in Lending Act (TILA).

36%? You might as well allow the mafia to put out an official loan sharking app.

@geniusmusing > 120%
Wow! I guess there are a lot of people getting the heck beat out of them. There is no way a person who already can't pay their bills is going to be able to pay that much.
Like the everlasting treadmill of payday loans, except with their lives and the lives of their friends, families, and neighbors are on the line.

Well, it finally happened to me today. I had an abstract accepted to the DNP meeting in August, but never got the email about it. I never confirmed the talk, but they put it on the schedule anyway. And I found out about the day/time of the talk 30 minutes before. I am so dumb.
