     I've head that #OpenShift is the bee's knees, but they do not seem to be the same thing and the same software stack as they were when OS was first announced. I used to get the monthly newsletter, but after they changed, the newsletter is sort of ho hum to me.

     I am glad that Prop 16 failed. California can still do targeted admissions and hiring, they just need to use non-inborn criteria.
     
     A little reading will tell us that these exceptions we create to advance ourselves can be turned against us or used to justify counter-exceptions. There was a sound reason we passed prop 209 in 1996.

   Friend's family members were jumping all over him over his choice of a candidate. I told him, I don't ever discuss that with them, so this would never happen to me. (I do know that one brother voted for each of the two major candidates, but beyond that, I quickly bow out of politics discussions.)

     Also, spending several days with my 1.5 year old grandson last month really improved the way I feel. I can now understand why some people are going to have family gatherings regardless of the rules. (I'm not counting #anti-maskers and "COVID is fake" people.)

      @guizzy When I first looked at Azure, it seemed like even the simplest site needed multiple moving parts. I think I was just used to having all the pieces in a single VPS server instead of starting from the beginning with a database instance, a web instance, a compute instance, and so on.
      
      That's why I decided to start out with a couple of courses, then move on to building a couple of projects on my own.

      on the Garmin I do. The daily scores aren't additive. Yesterday I ended up at 35. Because heart rate is so variable person-to-person, I doubt comparing numbers is super useful, but comparing against yourself seems to line up.
      
      That said, I generally don't pay a lot of attention to it unless I feel like I have had a stressful day.
