@maiyannah @takeshitakenji on Freedombone as a workaround I have a script which looks for the presence of those daemons and restarts them if they don't appear. -

@xj9 also interesting https://github.com/neyer/dewDrop. Maybe this kind of accounting could be useful. In the absence of this type of information people tend to fall back upon stereotypes or conspiracy theories, and money is also a crude approximation often inversely proportional to respect -

"The status quo would like you to believe it is immutable, inevitable, and invulnerable, and lack of memory of a dynamically changing world reinforces this view. In other words, when you don’t know how much things have changed, you don’t see that they are changing or that they can change" -

So Jitsi Meet installs but I'm not entirely convinced that it works. This might be due to the state of WebRTC API implementation within various browsers. I'll leave it in #Freedombone because it seems close to working and maybe future package updates will fix whatever the current limitations are. -

"Optimists think it will all be fine without our involvement; pessimists take the opposite position; both excuse themselves from acting. It’s the belief that what we do matters even though how and when it may matter, who and what it may impact, are not things we can know beforehand." -

There are possible half ways solutions though. Adding seeding capability for static content built into the browser would reduce the efficacy of DDoS and also make server down time not so critical. -

The technical director of GCHQ's National Cyber Security Centre is an idiot. To make DDoS irrelevant you would need to move to peer-to-peer systems with replicated/seeded data - like ZeroNet and IPFS. Long term I think that's the way things will tend towards simply because it's the most optimal solution in terms of bandwidth and robustness. IPFS really could scale to a u… -

@maiyannah make a new branch. Git rm everything except the plugins. Copy the repo. Rename the master branch. Rename the plugins branch to master. That way the plugins commit history is preserved.
