@takeshitakenji @moonman @moonoffsite The websockets plugin is an implementation of a draft version of the original standard. It works, but its not an actual standard implementation because of the changes between the draft and the actual standard. However, it has no retry mechanism, so if there's transmission errors, stuff just gets lost. -

@takeshitakenji @moonman @moonoffsite If you have remote mysql access set up you might be able to forward the socket but this is kind of outside of what I feel comfortable guiding people through because there's a heap of security issues you'd have to address. -

@gameragodzilla @katiekats Yeah, it's a trend that rose with digital distribution of games. Even the CD era didn't have unfinished games, they just had buggy ones since you could get away with BBS/FTP distributed patching.
It's been a downhill rush of lowering standards. -

Buggy or bad quality games existed, but they were still *complete*. Even something hilariously bad like Cheetahmen from Action 52 has more content than the average indie game (if you could stand playing it) -

Another instance, http://status.hackerposse.com/url/13096, was actually shut down as a direct result of the Canadian authorities catching them with that kind of thin…
