      @gameragodzilla @katiekats In the cartridge days?  No, not really.  Even the shitty Chinese counterfeits were releases complete.

      Buggy or bad quality games existed, but they were still *complete*.  Even something hilariously bad like Cheetahmen from Action 52 has more content than the average indie game (if you could stand playing it)

      @gameragodzilla @katiekats Yeah, it's a trend that rose with digital distribution of games.  Even the CD era didn't have unfinished games, they just had buggy ones since you could get away with BBS/FTP distributed patching.

      It's been a downhill rush of lowering standards.

      @gameragodzilla @katiekats I also really don't like the bundled patching thing.  Engine fixes should be seperate from game logic/design fixes.  SW2 is a prime example of this - you either put up with technical problems or the naff LETS BE BORDERLANDS GUISE shit.
