I think It would be great to have Twitter users here, but only if its because they are using !gnusocial supporting free software, understaning its core principles, etc, not federating from a non-free third party

   For some reason quitter.is seems to have a problem with fediverse.org server, connection times out no matter how long the config is set. Is the only !gnusocial node I have trouble checking its status (via cURL). I don't have the same problem reaching outside that server. If the !fediverse knows the admin, please let him know I would like to get in touch. Thanks!

   Don't know if its an error or voluntary but the node http://lamatriz.org/ is redirecting to https://lamatriz.org/hedero/posts Looks like an error since it is/was a well known public node. Does anybody knows the admin so I can verify this? !gnusocial !fediverse

    @rottenwheel Esto depende de la configuración del nodo !gnusocial donde te encuentres. En este caso quitter.no tiene configurados 1000 caracteres y quitter.se 140. Puedes ver la configuración de cada nodo en el valor "textlimit". Ejemplo: https://quitter.se/api/statusnet/config.xml

    For the !gnusocial !fediverse admins out there! Which is the safest and most polite way to ping to check if a node is up? I've seen code requesting the public timeline. Maybe just query for the version xml. Would that be enough?
