Thanks for the reminder.
For me this is the last drop to cause renaming of "Microblogging system" references in #AndStatus into "Social networking site".
I think the "site" term sounds simpler and closer to what !andstatus currently lists as "Microblogging systems", than "server", "instance" or "service"?! -

@simsa0 Thank you for the excursus. It's interesting to know that in GNU Social terms "Private message" and "Direct message" refer to different tools/features. This returns us to importance of terminology definition... And I didn't hear about "Private messages" in GNU social (as they are not part of "Twitter compatible" API, which AndStatus uses?!). @roland No clear difference. Moreover, in Pump.io you may have private conversation with several people. AndStatus works correctly, but a User is unaware if the conversation is private or not.
