@echosa @dreamkeepers I'd suggest looking at @rysiek@joindaspora.com's "Breaking the garden walls": http://rys.io/en/88
The post itself is rather old, but essentially the basis of for example this recorded gathering at the latest @ccc conference: https://owncloud.hackerspace.pl/index.php/s/zOycGQnrCOWNz6Z/download

I was going to wait to post my 100th notice, but this is too good to delay! The results of the poll are... A tie between "Erotica of gnusocial users" and "Celebratory anime gif". Well, I like to compromise! I present to you "A GNU Love Story": http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9899 @moonman and @why's forbidden love is quickly put to a stop by the no-nonsense @disassemblyline. What … -

@echosa Yeah, the classic case of the network effect. I think there's no end value in "getting people to switch" though. The users would undoubtedly be better off without injected advertisement and centralised governing, but I think "just switching" gives no benefit in itself. I generally discuss with people the benefits of decentralisation and community as opposed to… -

Oh right, btw !GNUsocial. Noone using old versions can now unsubscribe to anyone using new versions (so the remote party understands it). A discussion on IRC made us realise you could do a replay attack on certain salmon slaps, including the "unfollow" verb. So I fixed the bug. (the issue was that there was no designated target for the unfollow in the slap that was sen… -

I don't run Windows 10 though, I only run authentic GNU/Linux or as I have recently taken to calling it, GNU PLUS Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a … -

@mikael Yeah, as soon as we can get a fulltime client developer on the job, no problem. And we also manage to solve the problem with multiple keys + UI which noone's does since OpenPGP projects started trying. And we get people to stop using the web interface ;) -
