@echosa Yeah, the classic case of the network effect. I think there's no end value in "getting people to switch" though.
The users would undoubtedly be better off without injected advertisement and centralised governing, but I think "just switching" gives no benefit in itself.
I generally discuss with people the benefits of decentralisation and community as opposed to commercialisation and maximisation of the user base.
If some switch then, they know why they do it and are more likely to put further similar arguments in the rest of their life's decisions.
