Not following the conversations of people you don't follow seems the right thing to do. When I reply to @somebody, my SN instance doesn't know what other people have seen @somebody's original message, and so can't send copies of my reply to them. Full mesh conversations requires a lot more traffic between nodes, and maintaining the relationship state of everyone in the federation. … -
