Probably not #Amtrak either. They do go to #STL and KC, but nowhere else. #sonOne lives in the #KC area, but with his current work schedule, visiting at all is a hardship (and needing a ride to his brother’s place almost 3 hours away even more so). -

Tried to call #sonOne on #Wire, so we can resume the weekly #videochat, but he's been working around sixteen hours per day since June, so that was again unsuccessful. -

I know he won't care, but I have to tell #sonOne that I cannot get him anything for his birthday.
He's working around 80 hours per week and making more money than any of us have ever made, so I know 'more stuff' is the furthest thing from his mind. -

Just got a message from #sonOne explaining that he’s currently on double shifts and overnights, so he’s either been at work or asleep when I’ve called. After all the years that I worked full-time and went to college full-time (and often had a second part-time job), I’m not a fan of such schedules. They really do tear up relationships. #sonOne spent over two years on crutches after a bicycle crash in high school. #sonTwo followed suit about a decade later, but his foot healed faster, so he was done in under a year. -

Reminds me that one time I fell out of bed and had trouble getting back up years ago. When #sonTwo heard of it, he said "If we have to put you in a home, we're choosing one near #sonOne. I'm tired of taking care of you."

I missed having our weekly #videochat with #sonOne and #GD1 and #GD2 again, but I did get about fifteen minutes with #GS3.
He showed me his toy truck and said “trunk”, but would not repeat it.
Then he called me “Dadda”, just like he calls both of his parents.
He learned to ask “What is that?”, but he did not say it during our call. -

LOL. Reminds me of when #sonOne was in high school and he borrowed my car to take his mom to a medical appointment. While she was in the office, he went to visit a friend. When I got the car back, the ashtray was full of unknown seeds.
Planting them was definitely not going to happen. I didn't even use my home garbage to dispose of them. Silly FBI agent. I'm smarter than a rabbit. -

The thing that I find funny is that I occasionally watched ST:TNG (and rarely ST:DS9) with #sonOne, but I never saw Wesley and was unaware of either the character or the actor that played the part until a few years ago. -
