I push down my actual statuses b/c I reply a lot to other people. Can there be two columns for notices and replies like in Mastodon, or is there a specific usage for !gnusocial that I'm missing the point of.

Well, I'm still #newhere, but I wonder why I can't find my 'older' notices anymore (for example one from 18 days ago). Not in 'profile (Notices by wyege)', not in any of those RSS and whatever feeds, not in the backup. I only know it is there because it was 'favored by others'. This makes !gnusocial miss one of my use cases.

I see that if I unset in "Settings" the option "Make updates visible only to my followers" my post will appear in the public timeline (so visible by everyone in the web, without having an account on gnusocial); but not only what I post but everything, even if I start to follow someone! I think this kind of information should not be visibl…

so the only notification panel in !gnusocial is the email inbox? :-/ can't we have a web-based panel like most(?) of social networks?

@moshpirit What do you think about the #newhere tag, as used on !Diaspora? If it helps people integrate more easily into the #federated network, maybe we need to do something similar for !gnusocial.
