Got the !libvisualid patches *almost* working with #Nautilus 3.14 today: the VisualID glyphs are too big. WAY too big. Can't figure out why....

The only differences I noticed in #Nautilus 3.4 vs. 2.30: code moved around enough that I needed to port my VisualIDs patches forward, and folders can no longer have background-images.

@postblue, I'm actually in the middle of cleaning up my patches to make !Nautilus 3 use !VisualIDs....

I was just thinking @fsf might like to take over hosting the project groups like !gnu, !guile, !nautilus, !gcc, !gpl, !bzr, !gnus..., etc. But, yeah-- @fsf hosting !fsf might make sense too.... :)

Thanks to all who helped me with the move of "connect to server" out of #nautilus in !GNOME 3.5/3.6. Don't move my cheese, GNOME.

I respectfully disagree. From both the features you mention, they do mention reasonable (and more coherent) alternatives. #gnome #nautilus

Just upgraded to #Debian 6.0, and lost #VisualIDs support in the !Nautilus upgrade; now I can't find anything. Time to regenerate the patch.
