@postblue There are some caches you could probably increase for #MariaDB (don't go too high or you'll oom-kill stuff like happened with #quitter.is last night).
I tried enabling the Memcached plugin yesterday too, but while I didn't notice any bugs (immediately anyway) I also noticed that it didn't actually increase performance :D

@ln5 git pull the repository, setup https and "fancy URLs" (i.e. rewrite /main/stuff to /index.php/main/stuff) and configure a #MariaDB/MySQL user + pass which you supply on installation.

Heh, I run #MariaDB via an #OpenVPN tunnle anyway. Could never be bothered to setup certificates for it.

#Quitter.is was down since #MariaDB for #Debian #wheezy didn't include #InnoDB support despite having such config options in my.cnf

@knuthollund @hannes2peer More memory and caching is always good in /etc/mysql/my.cnf (oh, and using #MariaDB of course makes it all less Oracle and more cool)
