#GD1 and #GD2 earch received a $100 VISA gift card instead of presents, so they are probably at the mall today or tomorrow. They both seem sort of tightfisted with their money, so it may be that they decide to leave most of that money unspent for a while.
The older two ( #GS1 and #GS2 ) have part-time jobs at a nearby fast food place, so they've already got themselves the #Steam games they might want. -

My granddaughters, at least #GD1 and #GD2, have not seen the "Home Alone" movies. (At least the first two were worth watching; I haven't seen any others.) #GD2 has installed some sort of funny memes app. She’s sending some of them to me. I get the feeling that some of these are not meant for 8 year olds, but I’m going to keep my mouth shut. -

Right before or right after #GD2's sixth birthday, she accidentally found a closet full of toys downstairs. Six weeks later, those same toys were inside the wrapping paper of their Christmas presents. She's known that the stories about a fat man coming down the chimney are make believe since then. -

Took some stuff to the house of one of my sisters, so it will already be there on Thanksgiving. I brought my tablet and hotspot, and sure enough, we were not back home when it was time for my good night videochat with #GS3. Then, when I got here, #GD2 called so that she and #GD1 (and her friend whose name I always misspell) could say hi. -

While I was on the phone with #sonOne today, I heard #GD2 on the phone with one of her friends. She’s had one of her dad’s old phones without service as a sort of mini-tablet for ages. I guess they finally got her an active phone. -

I just had about 2 1/2 hours of (separate) videochats with #sonOne and #sonTwo (and #GD1 and #GD2). The little girls are a lot more animated and engaged on video than they are on regular phone calls.
I already videochat regularly with my 31 year old son (and his family) and my 8 year old granddaughter, so it was great to have her sister and her dad join in. -
