@smj How about a !gsnoobs group, or something similar? I see it serving two purposes:
1.) It can be a place for people to ask "how do I ..." questions about using GNU Social. We can point new users to it.
2.) If it's the first group someone joins, it can act as guide on how to use groups. (Showing that groups exist, how to join them, how to post to them, etc.)

@mmn @smj @cmhobbs @tuxxus !gnusocial I will say this, though. If we pick a day to advertise and inform people about Social, we need a catchy name for the hashtag. (Let's be honest, there has to be a hashtag. People love hashtags.)
