There was a comment yesterday that "people are stupid" was part of why the real estate market and economy imploded in 2007, but the bankers' ads saying "prices may never be this low again" legitimately pushed people to accept whatever terms banks offered in order to buy a home NOW, before prices and interest rates rose and they were permanently excluded from home ownership. -

Another reason homeownership is sliding for those who don't already own real estate: the price is rising at many times the inflation rate. #GD1 and #GD2 earch received a $100 VISA gift card instead of presents, so they are probably at the mall today or tomorrow. They both seem sort of tightfisted with their money, so it may be that they decide to leave most of that money unspent for a while.
The older two ( #GS1 and #GS2 ) have part-time jobs at a nearby fast food place, so they've already got themselves the #Steam games they might want. -

I don't make New Year's resolutions because I don't like disappointing myself. Instead, I'm just going to generally try to do my best to be my best (same as this year, last year, etc). Maybe I'll take some concrete steps forward in the process, maybe I won't. -
