I don't know whether they were wealthy or not, nor whether all of the relevant pollies and issue advocates were wealthy, but California and local government together regulated and priced my mom's business out of existence.
She still hopes to reopen, but none of her kids or grandkids have the time, even if she had the money. -

I did not read #T-rump's announcement about payroll taxes and withholding, so this is not directly a response to that.
