Seems strange to me, but #Xabber does not implement http://status.hackerposse.com/url/22221 I'm looking through some XEPs, looking for one that specifies that all requests sent from non-roster JIDs can be rejected. (Yes, I use Xabber, not #Conversations, as my #XMPP client on #Android. Every time I try to use Conversations, I have a very strong reaction and end up deleting it… -

@mangeurdenuage I think you're right. People need to fix what they damage. But they also have to cover some of the costs that the fire departments expended in fighting the fire they caused.
Plus, having & using fireworks in an area where fireworks are illegal may have some other consequences. -

#Los_Angeles police with county sheriff deputies assisting just concluded a pursuit on PCH (Pacific Coast Highway, #SR-1) near a brushfire. It sounds like guy may have had medical issue and sideswiped a few cars. Paramedics and ambulance have been called.

$EMPLOYER had these tiny Panasonic "Toughbook" mini-laptops. They seemed to be rugged, but the people who were issued these machines started travelling with monitors and keyboards and eventuallythey went back to agency-standard equipment.
Note that even the standard is now smaller, lighter, and more prone to overheating (and SSD failures!) than previous laptops.
