The small ants are aggressively foraging for food, as if they expect Winter to resemble movies, with snow and ice.      For some reason, this reminds me of hearing that people called TV stations to complain about their weather forecasters making it too hot/cold/wet/dry. As if "Ty the weather guy" has any control of the weather.
