I took an entrance exam for a Catholic high school, not because I wanted to attend there, but because I dreaded it less than the public school I wound up attending, and because of parental pressure. (We would have needed substantial financial help for me to attend, and even that likely would not have been enough, so I'm glad they rejected me.)
