@sim I don't know that you can fix what happened in your home and schools during your childhood. I think you're better off finding a venue where you can grow and learn things that help you today, and maybe learn how to deal with deficiencies of the past without necessarily reliving the situations that bred them.

If you're hoping to fix the education system so it isn't such a poor fit for generation-next, get in the queue. People have been trying to fix schools for many years. It gets better for one group at the expense of getting worse for some other group(s).
