   So, just musing out loud here. How does one go about finding people interested on helping out on a FOSS project? Are there forums, etc. ?

   @rozzin Hmm...the mount too soon idea could be, but then the question would be wht the second time works differently.
   
   I've not tried to duplicate the issue on anything but ubuntu (.i.e. a pi running raspbian or even something running vanilla debian).

   Linux puzzle ...at least to me. I dd a rasbian image to a new sd card. First time the image is no good (gets the root partion, but no boot partition). But the second dd works.

   Been quiet round here...so my latest hacking: I took the LCD screen out of an old Dell laptop, looked up the part number, and bought a controller off Ebay. ~$40 and it worked right outtadabox! Has DVI, HDMI, VGA, audio and 4 button controls. Now I need to build a enclosure. ;)

   @rozzin nice! 10 years ago I worked with a guy who designed and sold a thing for that industry called the HookOn machine.
