@dtluna probably !gnusocial needs a NSFW plugin, like the one in #Hubzilla. That way things with the NSFW tag are minimised by default but you can click on them to view. -

Made !gnusocial and #Hubzilla T-shirts, so during the summer I can shamelessly advertise some of the projects on #Freedombone. The Hubzilla one is all blue with the white logo and name. Gnusocial is black with the big red logo. -

Twitter is possibly getting an onion address. Will !gnusocial also be able to operate within both ICANN and onion domains? I think there was some talk about this a while ago, and it's currently one or the other, but not both. -

@mangeurdenuage yes. It's inspired by FreedomBox, and uses some of the code from freedom-maker. The main difference is that FreedomBox is a pure !debian blend, whereas Freedombone is not. On Freedombone I do include some things installed from git repos, which are not yet in the official repos, such as !gnusocial, #Hubzilla and #gogs. -

@strypey Facebook is not your friend. The "real names" policies of Facebook, G+ and so on are about convenience for advertisers and perhaps other customers. It's about having a consistent social graph. When users can change their names then the social graph becomes more complicated and thus harder to monetize. -
