Btw @nbd I think you should update your !GNUsocial since you seem to have the bug where you don't tag users in the parent post by simple nickname mentions (i.e. nickname-based search in the parent post). -

I've made the #quitter.is and #quitter.es instances render non !qvitter by default now, to allow for the "classic" !GNUsocial site to be indexed and crawled with all the magic markup and stuff that is available in that layout. -

@heluecht Yeah and I'm curious how distributed (as in not decentralised like !GNUsocial) systems like Twister would handle this kind of thing. So much crap. And consider Hubzilla's "anyone has their profile everywhere" idea. That would be awful. -

I notice that new user email confimation messages are not sent. Users need to go to their email settings stop confirmationproccess and renter email to finaly receive email.
Is this a known problem?
Is there a solution for it?

!gnusocial okay so federation is completely fubarred. both on iamover18 and on my friend's site, http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9205. i've looked at the logs that gnusocial logs to /var/log/messages and don't see anything too glaring. i can't speak for http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9205, but http://status.hackerposse.com/url/9206 has a local SSL certificate from letse… -
