@discussthang I don't think so. This !gnusocial service is a text-based service - what do you what with bigger or smaller fonts? Bold, italic, underline and quote and perhaps code seems to me really enough.. -

@amish as @taknamay said, you only need one account in an instance. You can then follow other users that belong to other instances, and then you can communicate with each other. I suggest reading the FAQ to learn more about how !qvitter and !gnusocial works. -

I have now written down on a paper in front of me the 4 things I need to fix in order to have retrieval of parent notices in !GNUsocial. I will initially code this to just do one step up in the hierarchy.
Conversations will likely be much more complete. I'll do it tomorrow I hope. Depends on my mood. Shouldn't take more than some hours including testing. Let's hope for the best. -

For the !gnusocial !fediverse admins out there! Which is the safest and most polite way to ping to check if a node is up? I've seen code requesting the public timeline. Maybe just query for the version xml. Would that be enough? -

@grmpyoldman Yes the layout needs some work, It really sucks !gnusocial does not do richtext or at least markup. Going to see if I can make it more compact and therefor less intrusive. -

@mmn There is one themes which puzzles me yet with !gnusocial - is it recommended to run daemons or is that not needed? If you run daemons is it possible to turn off the optimistic daemon be turned off? -
