!welcome @caesarologia to !gnusocial !

i take it !gnusocial polls are not anonymous?
-
I doubt anyone actually involved with the !gnusocial community (of developers and helper-outers) would side with those accusations .P
So last night was just the usual case of arguing with the general internet populus. Which is always headache inducing.

No built in PuSH service should be a non-starter for everyone. Superfeedr is not an acceptable service. However, for the rubyists, there's also rstatus which uses Superfeedr for PuSH service.
-
there is also rstat.us but I don't know how alive that project is. Federation btwn !gnusocial & #rstatus didn't really work when I tried.

!gnusocial compatible microblogging server written in ruby http://qttr.at/16c8

If you're building a public "directory" of !gnusocial nodes, then you probably want to include a flag for those that post/ allow controversial or "nsfw" subject matter so users are given a warning before hand.

@orphean @takeshitakenji the bridge is obviously inferior to real federation though. for example, twitter users can't remote-follow folks using !gnusocial.

@orphean @takeshitakenji i'm not sure i follow. do "oversized" nodes present a technical problem to the !gnusocial infrastructure, or is this more a community-building concern?

@orphean !gnusocial what's the harm, though? other servers on the network don't impact you unless you choose to interact with them.
